Great book about how God wants us to not fear. Everyone feels fear, but we have to decide either to accept the fear or reject it. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

No ha sido suficiente,el libro para calmar el ansia,que Freya Asgard,ha dejado en mi con esta novela.Esteban,Nicole,con ese Amor,que ha sufrido en partes iguales,dos seres,el miedo de Nicole,lo que ha pasada sus desesperanzas,su enfermadad,Lucas un chico que esta Necesitado de Amor maternal,y Cristobal un lobo,donde en realidad habita una oveja,maltratada Por la vida.Si es increible la novela,la recomiendo solo que te quedas con mas ganas,espero la 2da,parte imagino debe ser increible.

About the Author

MATT HAIG suffered a breakdown in his early twenties. After battling depression for a long time he turned to writing, and he now believes that reading and writing books saved his life. His novels include the bestsellers The Last Family in England, The Radleys and The Humans, which in Canada was a Costco Buyer’s Pick and has sold approximately 15,000 copies. His books have been translated into thirty languages. All his novels for adults have been optioned for film. Matt lives in York with his wife and their two children.

CHRIS MOULD went to art school at the age of sixteen. He has won a Nottingham Children’s Book Award and been commended by the Sheffield Children’s Book Awards. He loves his work and likes to write and draw the kind of books he would have liked to have had on his shelf as a boy. He is married with two children and lives in Yorkshire.

Haig does a great job of taking themes we’ve seen before in holiday tales and wiping the dust off to create something new

This was an adorable book and perfect for families to read during the holidays.

There will be many things children and adults will find familiar such as elves, the North Pole, a Scrooge-like character, the act of hope powering the magic of Christmas and of course Father Christmas himself.

A follow up to Matt Haig’s other book, A Boy Called Christmas which gave the origins for how Father Christmas came to be, this provides a beautiful continuity to his story. The illustrations that accompany his magical plot are absolutely delightful as the story comes alive before your eyes. It’s the kind of book that could, and should, easily be made into a heartwarming Holiday movie.

Perfect for the young and young at heart we’re treated to a story that grabs at the heartstrings as young Amelia who has always been full of hope and optimism must navigate her first Christmas as an orphan. Haig does a great job of taking themes we’ve seen before in holiday tales and wiping the dust off to create something new you’ll want to read with your kids.

Steve Russo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Cornell University and the Director of Organic Laboratories. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor at Indiana University. While there, he designed and implemented a state-of-the-art computer resource center for the undergraduate chemistry curriculum. He received his B.S. in chemistry from St. Francis College and his Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from Cornell University. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and has been a recipient of the Dupont Teaching Award, Clark Teaching Award, and the Amoco Distinguished Teaching Award.

Mike Silver is a Professor of Chemistry at Hope College. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Cornell University. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, past president of the West Michigan Section, and a member of the Council of Undergraduate Research. He has received the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award for excellence in teaching and research and the Provost's Award for Teaching Excellence. Currently he is involved in collaborative research with the Dow Corning Chemical Company.

Excellent for true conceptual understanding

In my experience, this is one of the few chemistry textbooks which explains WHY as opposed to simply presenting isolated formulas and factoids for students to memorize. It is terrific for visual-spatial learners and for students who want the big picture as well as the details. The organization of the textbook is logical, with one subject leading into the next.
