Good book for practical folding projects.

I bought this book to supplement the textbook in an Origami based university science course designed to teach scientific principals, geometry, trig, and other math to non-science majors. The book is still in print and not cheap. Buying it used was very valuable. One issue I have with the book is that the directions for folds are not always adjacent to the photos that exhibit the folds as executed.
Other than that the book is great.

Good beginning instructions of paper folding

Instructions are easy to understand and follow which makes it good for children or anyone else who wants to try origami. This book seems to be a combination of three shorter Origami books by the same author which my children used when they first started folding paper into animals and birds. I got this book for my grandchildren Nd they seem to like it/

A good facelift.

This appears to be a redacted copy of Florence Sakade's books Origami, Japanese Paper Folding Books One and Two," first published in the 1950s and still a great beginning book. It would appear that new ideas--like the clowns on the back cover--have been added, but it still essentially the same easy to follow guide to simple origami. Most of the designs are for flat models, but there are a number of 3 dimensionals as well, the crane being, of course, the most ancient and traditional of all of them.
